Jena Isaacson had an outstanding performance this weekend at the UNK Indoor Conference track and field meet, competing in the pentathlon, long jump and the 60 meter hurdles. Isaacson took home second in the pentathlon as well as the long jump, while also taking home a sixth place finish in the 60 meter hurdles.

Isaacson helped her Lady Lopers finish with an overall fifth place finish out of ten teams for the conference meet. For the national meet, Isaacson has a definite spot in the long jump and a possible spot in the pentathlon. Other activities she is involved in include FCA and Loper volleyball.

What is your dream job?

I want to work with the mentally disabled and I would love to work with the kids and teach them different sports, pretty much just play with them all day.

What is your favorite track moment?

Cheering for the boys 4 x 400 relay at conference last year, I took off running with Alex Paul (the last leg) and was going to cheer with him the whole way. I didn’t get too far because after I got to sprinting, I smoked a guy from another team so hard that he dropped to the ground. It was hilarious but I felt really bad!
