Career Fair attracts new talent

The Spring Career Fair wrapped up last Wednesday leaving many students satisfied with the outcome. Over 64 vendors and nearly 300 students participated in the event, breaking a UNK record.

Luke Decker a senior computer science major said the fair was helpful in many ways. “I made some important contacts with a few good companies where I would not mind working someday.”

Decker took advantage of another opportunity: the technology breakfast before the fair. Decker said it was nice to network and chat with companies. After breakfast, he attended the fair where he handed out resumes. “After speaking with around six potential employers, I determined three of them I thought seemed to be a good fit for me, and I gave them my resume,“ Decker said.

UNK offers two Career Fairs, one in the fall and one during the spring semester.
