Spreading Faith Across Campus

Looking for a great way to get involved on campus, pursue leadership opportunities, or just a way to meet other students in a positive and fun atmosphere?

Beginning Sept. 2, a group on campus will be providing that opportunity. Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship has been on campus for many years, but they are looking forward to the opportunities and growth of the upcoming year.

“Our main purpose is to spread the truth of Jesus Christ and to show unity across campus,” said Chi Alpha’s coordinator Ryan Conner. “It is a great opportunity for college kids to create lasting relationships with other students and also to spread the positive image of Christ at UNK.”

The meetings include a short message, group discussions, praise music, games, food and many other fun activities.

In the next year, Chi Alpha is looking to reach out to all students across campus and also offer leadership opportunities for students who would be interested.

Along with the Thursday night meetings held both on and off campus throughout the week, they also offer small groups for young men, young women and also international students.

In the year ahead they are looking at the possibilities of mission trips, as well as conferences to attend.

“We want to encourage students of all backgrounds to get involved with Chi Alpha. We would love to have anyone who is interested to join us,” Conner said.

Chi Alpha meets at 8 p.m. every Thursday in the Cedar Room of the student union.
