UNK falls to Wayne 24-17 in OT

Alex Paicurich, a junior defensive end for the Loper football team from Westminster, Colo., goes in for a tackle against the Wayne State Wildcats this past Saturday. The Lopers fell to the Wildcats in overtime, 24-17. In the fourth-ever overtime in UNK history. The Wildcats have now beat the Lopers three straight times, the second time that has happened since 1924. An impressive crowd of 6,811 fans watched as the Lopers were upset by Wayne State, a defeat that snapped the Lopers' 11 home game winning streak that dated back to the 2008 season.
