Football wins first postseason game in 29 years

The UNK football team takes the field to begin their game against Saginaw Valley State of Michigan last Saturday at Ron and Carol Cope Stadium. The Lopers went on to beat the Cardinals 35-20. This was the first-ever Division II playoff game the Lopers have won.

Rustin Dring, a sophomore industrial distribution major from Kearney, runs the ball on third down in the third quarter. Dring had 23 carries for 188 yards and two touchdowns. This was his sixth straight 100-yard game and ninth of the season.

In front of a crowd of 3,500, UNK Lopers defeat Saginaw Valley State 35-20.
