Reynolds Series presents: Poet Jan Beatty

Beatty presented her work in the Fine Arts Studio Theatre.

“Her work pushes a lot of limits. It is truly amazing and phenomenal,” Reynolds Series host, Allison Hedge Coke said of Jan Beatty from Pittsburgh, Pa. Beatty read several poems from her three volumes, “Red Sugar,” “Boneshaker” and “Mad River.”

“I think my books are very hopeful and optimistic,” the radio producer/host said.

Beatty presented her work Sept. 18 at 7 p.m. in the Fine Arts Studio Theatre.
